Spring 2001 and I was facing up to reality, my embroidery and garment decoration business was on the verge of collapse, an obscene overdraft, consumer lethargy, a downturn in tourism and a shop full of ready to embellish garments, caps and teddy bears. The coming season looked bleak. The garment decoration business was becoming more cut throat by the day and the bank appeared to be my only ‘pen friend’! To be honest people were getting fed up with caps and my Jersey teddy looked tired and worn out. I needed inspiration; I needed to lift the product to a new level, to make it enticing and emotional. This came one fine day when a tourist inquired if the teddy bear offering could be personalised in any shape or form.
She was so delighted with the final result she promised to show all her friends when she returned to the hotel. The penny dropped. From that day on all my energies have been focused on producing ‘The Finest Personalised Bears’ for every conceivable occasion, from ‘new born’ to Grannies 100 th for Punk rockers, Football Fans, and a vast range of corporate clients, Hoteliers, Bars, Clubs, Pubs, Travel agents the list is endless.
Teddy bear eyes
Embroidering our Teddy bear jumpers is like a dream come true; they have been specially designed for easy framing on a 12-centimetre frame and the tight knit fabric embroiders superbly. We see the delight in our customer’s eyes when they see the finished article and know how well the gift will be received. We call it ‘Teddy Bear eyes’. We have now personalised over 30,000 bears for individuals as gifts, souvenirs and as a superb corporate promotional tool. When we opened the Spanish retail unit we wrongly assumed that we would be selling most of our product as souvenirs to British holidaymakers. Not so, Spanish, Dutch, French, Icelandic, Italian, Scandinavians, Americans of all ages have taken to our concept. We kept hearing the young Spanish locals say Que Guapo (how cool), and have made a number of teddy bears dressed in capuchas ( hoodies) for a top DJ from Madrid and three for the David and Victoria Beckhams children. So age, gender of nationality doesn’t come into the equation, the teddy bear is cherished the world over and makes an ideal souvenir, specialised gift or promotional tool for anyone or any business.
We see the competition offering Three Lines of Block text and a limited selection of threads. That’s not what we are about. Our attention to detail, the use of specialist metallic threads makes our bears some of the finest personalised Teddy bears in the World.
